The other day, I came across a postcard that read:
“Stressed is just DESSERTS spelt backwards.”
Apart from “desserts” being the reverse of the word “stressed”, I believe there is truth to this statement. Desserts have a magical way of helping solve problems.
• Getting a boo-boo as a child was often comforted by a parent’s kiss and a Band-Aid, but most definitely forgotten with Jell-O or a popsicle.
• In your teens, chocolate or ice cream did well in soothing a broken heart.
• With age, venting over wine or beer seems to be the “dessert” of choice.
Wishing you stress-free days ahead.
However, if you should find yourself stressed, hopefully these venues will have your kind of “dessert” to sweeten your stresses away.
