On a stopover through the Vancouver International Airport, we craved for Harvey’s – a Canadian burger chain recognized for its flame-grilled burgers and choose your own toppings. After getting in our Canadian eats, I have to say the burgers in America win my overall vote for hamburger yumminess. Don’t get me wrong though, the Canadian burgers are still good.
Burger Chains found in Canada: |
Harvey’s – choose to top your burger with tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, relish, spicy peppers, ketchup, mustard and/or mayo A & W – refreshing root beer in iced beer mugs and crispy onion rings Burger King Arby’s – curly fries! |
Burger Chains found in the United States: |
IN-N-OUT – ask about the “secret menu”, each location has a different one Five Guys Burgers and Fries – great place to load your burger up with all the toppings you can stuff onto it (Except for Harvey’s, many of the burger chains found in Canada are also found in the U.S.) |
For fancier burgers, we’ve enjoyed delicious eats at the following designer burger joints:
Canada | United States |
In Greater Vancouver Area, BC: White Spot Burgers Etc. – you’ll love their burgers and pulled-pork sandwiches |
In Silicon Valley, CA: Main Street Burgers – burgers are finished in medium doneness (slightly pink), specify to have it cooked longer otherwise R.G. Burgers – locations in Monterey, CA and Carmel, CA only |
A juicy burger is just the treat to start the summer season. Yum!
