Receiving the DMV Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice in the mail was a kind reminder of how quickly the year past.
Your DMV Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice should arrive in the mail roughly 2.5 months before it is due. The due date is essentially a year after the date your vehicle was first registered or last renewed in California.
The DMV makes it easy to complete payment – 3 options are available: (1) online, (2) telephone or (3) by mail. I haven’t tried paying with the later two methods, but found the online method to be super convenient and completes in only a few easy steps. All major credit cards are accepted.
Once payment is received, a DMV Vehicle Registration Confirmation Notice and an annual registration sticker should arrive in the mail within 3-4 weeks. Don’t forget to apply this sticker to your license plate 🙂
